"A Quiet Spot" is one of my en plein aire paintings that is featured at The Hardware Store Restaurant in downtown Vashon Island, Washington, now through November 2008.  There are three paintings featuring the 2008 Vashon Island Garden Tour and some other outdoor painting spots in Washington and Hawaii.

The Western Washington State Fair at Puyallup included "Quilters I".    This was a juried show so I'm pleased to have been accepted as an exhibitor. More information can be found at www.thefair.com.

During September 2008, my were at the Back Bay Inn Restaurant in Burton on Vashon Island, Washington.  This cozy Restaurant and  B&B on Vashon's main arterial to the Talequah Ferry is a great stop. For more info contact www.backbayinn.net.

From March 30 to April 27, 2008, my painting, "Duck Lunch" was part of the juried 46th Member Exhibition of the Hawaii Watercolor Society at The Arts at Marks, 1159 Nu'uanu Avenue, Honolulu.   The Juror was Tony van Hasselt, AWS, Naionally recognized watercolor artist. 

From  April 16 through April 19, 2008, my paintings were part of the Honolulu Iolani School Third Annual 'Iolani Fair Art Show'.

In March 2008, I had fifty-three of my latest paintings featured at the Third Annual "Celebrating Nature through Art" show at the gallery at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens.     The garden's website is www.honolulu.gov/parks/hbg/hmbg.htm 

In February,  I had three of my paintings  in the 2008 Punahou School Carnival which ran February 1 and 2 in Honolulu.

I hope you visited  The Hardware Store Restaurant before October 23, 2007, in downtown Vashon Island, WA, to see four of my paintings done en plein air. The painting, Lavender Farm , won First Prize in the "Finished in Studio" category.


By request my show at the Vashon Island Golf and Country Club dining rooms was extended to August 15, 2008.
